Our group had a great week visiting with the City of Meridian during their 6th annual Public Works Week. It has been very excited to see this event grow over the years. The week started with a ribbon cutting at the new Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility Administration building and Laboratory. Wednesday evening, the City put together a very well attended (800-900 people!) Public Works Expo with food, music, and live demonstrations (blowing up water pipe, fire hydrant flow tests and many more). There was a golf tournament on Friday – SPF teams took 3rd and 4th place – and a 3k/5k Fun Run Saturday morning. We really enjoyed all of the events and the dedication of Meridian’s staff definitely showed. Thank you, Meridian, for another excited week! We look forward to participating again next year.
